A fistful of Friday quickies…
Last weekend we spent all day in the woods up in Vermont doing recce for Trunkmonkey Run for the Border, Trunkmonkey Racing’s second New England Region brisk TSD road rally event. I finally got around to putting together Pepper Hacks, a knowledgebase for hacking Pepper Computer’s Pepper Pad. Speaking of which, the Pepper Pad is now on sale at Amazon.com! And now I go back to work…

Sean, you beautiful person you…
I’ve been drooling over pictures of the Pepper Pad for months now. All this time though I’ve been wanting to know how hackable it will be, and this has been one of the barriers to deciding to buy one or not. Now I see your pepperhacks site, and rejoice! There is a way to write apps for this sexy little device. Hurrah! I can’t wait to port a GBA emulator…

Werd. Glad my little site assimilated you! FYI, you can both compile natively on the Pad or use a cross compiler to compile on X86. I’m trying to see if I can get the cross compilers to build under Mac OS X but that’s pretty low on my list.
One of the guys in the office wants to get MAME working so any hints you have would be great! If you want to get started on GBA I can setup a drop point for you to push me binaries to test before you get a Pad.
Happy hacking!
